Finnish American Chamber of Commerce Upper Michigan hosts luncheon for Finnish and Estonian Ambassadors, and Hungarian Chargé d’Affaires

The Finnish American Chamber of Commerce Upper Michigan was honored to host a luncheon on Friday, June 19 for Finnish Ambassador Leena-Kaisa Mikkola, Estonian Ambassador Kristjan Prikk, and Bálint Bakondi, Chargé d’Affaires of the Consulate General of Hungary in Chicago. Attending were business and education leaders, as well as state representatives from the Upper Peninsula.

The discussions focused on fostering business and educational cooperation between the Upper Peninsula and the three represented countries.

The luncheon, held at the Hancock High School cafeteria, coincided with this weekend’s Juhannus celebration in recognition of Hancock’s selection as the Finno-Ugric Capital of Culture for 2026.
